Atalanta is a must win. Finishing in the top 8 with the squad we have is almost a requirement given the quality Arteta has available to him. I’m expecting Atalanta to be a yucky, scrappy game. But it is one we have to win.
I miss Santi and Rosicky. I sometimes wish they were part of our current squad and got to experience the current mood.

So, who’s our VC this season?
Normally, they sit next to the manager in the team photo, but this year, Saka is sat next to Arteta instead of Jesus. We know Saka isn’t VC since Jorginho captained us against Spurs. That also rules out Gabriel, who has also worn the armband a few times.
The safe bets are that it’s Jorginho or still Jesus, but that raises the question as to why neither is sat next to Mikel. I have a feeling it might actually be Rice. Something in my gut tells me Arteta really rates him as a leader, similar to how Odegaard became captain after only his first proper season with us.

This season, I have been trying to follow Stuttgart. Very different from the premier league. Bundesliga is a lot more fun to watch. In my view, a lot less tactical and more freedom to attack.

The goal is not merely to finish top 8. Since the knockout draws are not random, we have to finish as high as possible to face a team that finishes much lower in the league table.

All these people shocked at how ridiculous webbs comments are without getting that is the whole point. The PGMOL has always said ridiculous things and implemented ridiculous fines to very publicly show they can’t be challenged.
I’m not saying what Arteta did was wrong but it’s highly likely that the PGMOL has actually instructed the refs to be harsher on Arsenal due to his comments last season to make an example out of him.
