I want to be positive, I really really do. I just see this imploding and either he’s gone around Jan and/or we end up finally dropping in to League One.

Good luck to him! Seemed a good coach and decent bloke when he was with us. I hope it works out.

Breaking news:
Stoke sack Narcis Pelach after turning his nose up at oatcakes.
Even though he is well thought of here, this is a truly insane move from Stoke.
Going from being a background coach following the philosophy of the manager at the time, to managing a big Championship club is a monumental step-up
He may turn out a genius but anyone could tell you we weren’t well coached in the slightest last season (although Wagner’s terrorball surely didnt help).

This was a very quick turn around.
Stoke fans, given how our of the Blue SS’s sacking was do you think this was set up in the background whilst SS was still employed?

No complaints about Pelach, it’s a massive opportunity for him. Bit disappointed he’s taking Paul Clements and Harrison Glew with him, though.

“Super” Jonny Walters pulling the strings. Almost certain this will backfire but I’ll shut my mouth if it bears fruit.

If this was Sunderland we wouldn’t sign a new manager until 2028

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe he is the first manager in Championship history who is an anogram of Pelican Archs

This is either going be corberan levels of success or xisco levels of despair no middle ground in this. Fair play to the club for attempting something completely different but at what cost only time will tell.

Seems a bit a risky

It’s a proper gamble. Either he’ll be a success like Corberan, Munoz at Watford or Maresca (I know the latter is Italian but he follows the same style) or flop hard like Clotet, Munoz at Sheffield Wednesday or Nathan Jones (Jones follows that style and was a massive gamble by us)
Only time will tell but with our young squad and centre backs that like the ball at their feet the tools are there if the board give Pelach time.
