Virgil Van Dijk taking the spot for most potential đ
Next is most wasted potential. Personally I think âunfulfilled potentialâ better describes careers cut short by injury or bad luck. âWasted potentialâ implies personal fault and I think maybe should be reserved for those who squandered opportunities through poor choices or lack of effort. Wee fannys like Islam Feruz.
However, have at it, if you think someone who got injured wasted their potential throw em in, the sub decides the winner, not me đ

John Guidetti would be one of the first names that springs to mind, sensational for the first half of the season and then just stopped.
Would it be harsh to mention Stokes? He was a fine player for us but I always felt like there was so much squandered talent within him.
Islam Faruz. Watching those highlight reels of him when he was 16, charging through defences looking like prime-Ronaldo gave me Goosebumps.
Alas, he got involved with he wrong kind of agent who made him believe he was better than he was.
Sad.
On recency bias I’d have to say Jota. How talented he was and the potential he had to go to a premier league team if he stuck it out her for another season or two, maybe shined in the Champions league like O’Reilly and bosses the league. Instead he goes to Saudi and sits on the bench. Shame.
Or cha du-ri.
The Derry Pele.
Derek Riordan – can remember being over the moon when he signed was different class at Hibs and looked like he could really kick on and did nothing.
Aiden McGeady.
Tony Watt

Only because I think he could have been a legend if he stayed, Gary Hooper.
In recent years: relative to how good he turned out to be, how little Celtic let him go for, and that he didnât get to hit those heights regularly for Celtic (I could be misremembering that)- Frimpong.
