All the manager has to say to the players at half time is to keep going and not be demoralised even if the chances continue to not go in. The worst that can get written about this game is united were unlucky on the day.
If we keep this up, we’ll eventually score a couple goals.

The main thing I love about this match is we’ve shown we can actually dominate games. That’s the biggest thing, Palace had basically zero big chances.
8 shots on target = 1 goal is my metric. Learned it from Fergie himself.
That said I have seen is have 14 on target and not score and 16 on target and scoring 4.
But generally speaking, it’s usually about right.

Please let Liverpool or some other muppets spend 100m on Wharton, and go and get a serious midfielder like Baleba. It’s tough being outnumbered, and the team as a whole look dreadfully disorganised, but he just contributes next to nothing out of possession. Gets bypassed more than Ugarte.

Don’t really care about the numbers , we were clearly the dominant side, different sites have different numbers.
Just FYI FotMob showed xG of about 1.5 half way through the first half, then it dropped to 0.78 at the end. I think it’s bugged.
