Not sure I’ve ever seen a challenge like Martinez’s yesterday. Genuinely no idea what he was thinking or how he got away with it.
Refs are meant to be there to protect the players, but that’s seemingly not the case.
What’s worse is that that Rice knocking the ball away is somehow deemed to be worthy of the same punishment, imagine my shock when I saw who was on VAR….
