  1. Classic pep, big up Rico and how he has to play, just to drop him

Walkers recovery pace will be a great help if he’s found an ounce of form since Brentford

Surprised not to see kdb or Phil at 10. Seems we’re gonna pack the middle, rely on walker and akanjis recovery pace, and use our wingers to pull their defence apart. This could end up being a cross fest

Can’t wait for Walker to switch off defensively and cost us a goal as per usual

  3. Hmm, not sure what I think about that- Walker has been wank for a while and Rico has been great. Two tricky fast wingers against 10 in the box is usually ineffectual

  4. That’s very attacking. Would have thought Bernardo and Grealish in the wings for control.

Not emotionally ready for Doku to risk possession repeatedly but it’s all guns firing.

  5. Not a city fan but I’m so curious how does ep even keep Foden satisfied with the number of games he starts/plays? Surely at some point of time Foden will want to start regularly?

Edit: lol what’s with the downvotes. Literally asking this question in good faith to find out more about how pep keeps his players happy.

  6. Come on man, doku and savio are on the pitch at the same time, is this an indication that we are going to give the ball to arsenal and chase a counter attack? why this insistence when we can’t get what we want in big games with a 4 man defense?

  7. Um what the fuck is this? Why isn’t foden starting?

Akanji is awful when he has to invert I’m sorry he can’t do that role. Why isn’t Rico starting?

Pep is majorly over thinking this one. I was way more confident until this dropped I have to say. Now I’m really not so sure. But I LOVE the front 3. Time to terrorize with the press

  8. i feel grealish should have started over doku, grealish can hold the ball on the wings better while doku is more of an electric player whod go for that risky run… i just feel we need a bit of patience today to get thru arsenals low block cuz they are definitely parking the bus here

  9. Obviously I’m no pep but not starting Foden this week is absolutely wild to me. Kev is out, we need creativity in midfield, and last season when Foden was played in the middle he was instrumental in several victories against the top 6. And he’s fit, he’s been on the bench for like 3 games in a row now. I just don’t understand

  10. No Ben White in the Arsenal XI. Also Calafiori starting for the first time (I think).

Creates a little more uncertainty. Maybe Arsenal isn’t as organized at the back as they usually are? Or maybe it’s just wishful thinking lol.

I was, and still am, all for the Gundo signing but it’s really frustrating to see Pep revert back to starting him over Foden in the middle. He was the prem player of the season last year, we need to get him going and we need that KDB replacement.

I love Bernardo but I think I’d have preferred fpden in the middle, having said that Silva lives for the big ties, reckon he could be special today.

I just can’t fathom how you can play Doku in a game this big. Totally unnecessary.

  14. Kind of off-topic but when the heck are we going to see Stones get momentum and starting games again? I miss his ball control and distribution man. Treble winning season he was absolutely essential and instrumental but he’s never really got into a groove ever since.

  15. wonder if Bernardo will man-mark the shit out of Rice, because you take him out of the game and this Arsenal side is dead
