Still early days but I was expecting us to have a slower start to the season, with so many new players in the squad.

I know it’s only week five, don’t get carried away but goddamn, we’re setting our stall out quite nicely right now. Been tested but not bested by anyone except a *****fellow title challenger, and a decent run of fixtures ahead to boot. The fixture congestion will pose a real test, but if we’re still in a top 4/5 position going into the annoying November international break, after having to face Spurs, Brugge and Liverpool on the road within a week, then I will allow myself a single Being Excited. As a treat.

I’m just glad we’re winning the ‘should win’ matches. Early days and been a fairly friendly run of matches but it’s definitely a great position to be in! Gonna get tougher as the season drags on but the same goes for everyone else, as it stands we definitely seem stronger/more resilient than last season and hopefully can challenge for top 5 and champions league again. It’ll definitely be a priority at the club in order to keep growing as planned
