  1. Feel bad for him but what a career he’s had. Wonder if he has any interest in coaching/management, guess we’ll see.

  5. Varane had a legendary career, he can rest now.

Though Phil Jones and Varane announcing retirement within 2 months forced by injury, It’s a shame. But it shows our current management is low key ruthless and right.

He had won everything with Madrid & France NT, including 4 UCLs and 1 World Cup.
He won Carabao & FA Cup with us (trophies Madrid could only dream of :P).
I wanted to watch him play for Como this season, but yeah, his body might finally give up.
Good luck with whatever you wanna pursue after your retirement, Varane! ❤️

  7. So glad that he could have one last hooray with us winning the FA Cup. It’s almost like the stars had aligned getting him and Lisandro’s partnership back that day.

  8. Probably put his body through hell to make the fa cup final and then dropped a 10 out 10 and pocketed Haaland in the process like the king he is

Boy am I glad he won a few cups with us as well. Hands down, when he was available? he was still an absolutely top CB for us and was important to our team.

Will never say a bad word about this man, he did everything perfect, loved United and the issues were beyond his control.

Wasn’t long but I’m so glad we had him.

It’s honestly crazy how a concussion when he was a top 5 cb in the world, snowballed into multiple injuries and his eventual retirement . Sucks, but man was he electric when he played. We got him at the perfect time but injuries prevented him from maintaining his form.

  12. I’ll always remember the absolute blinder of a first game he had against Wolves. They had completely overrun us in midfield and attack but he was sensational that day and did so much defensive work. Then he also ended up assisting the winner.

  13. I’m so happy I got to see him play for my club and lift a trophy in his final game. They don’t make very many defenders with as much class as him anymore, Merci Rapha!

Top top guy. Can never fault him for not playing a a s much as he and we would’ve liked. Always looked class whenever he was on the pitch. Absolute King

I’m just so glad we got two (even if it was piecemeal at the end) seasons from him. The perfect defender.

  16. Bro is a winner. Won everything there is.

Shame couldn’t join us sooner man, truly a rolls royce defender. Closest thing we’ve got to rio man
