Easily one of the best ball-playing denders I can remember. His passing range is just outstanding, and I’m not sure even the likes of Piqué, who by all rights was excellent on the ball, could do the things this kid is doing. It’s not just that he can get the ball to another player with almost Kroos-like consistency, but he finds progressive passes so frequently from such a tricky position.
