  1. Nah this is outrageous baiting. Can’t believe it works. Gaslighting of the highest order. F** those refs

  2. Our society has just devolved into engagement farming, nothing is off limits, shame doesn’t exist.

  3. Poor Dermot, he’s getting on in age and doesn’t know what he’s talking about anymore. Might be time to take him to the glue factory.

  4. While I do agree in principle that it shouldn’t be a caution – the fact remains that we have had 2 players pick up 2nd yellows for the exact same thing.

All we’re asking for is consistency ffs

  5. Didn’t this cunt agree with the yellows we got. At this point its obvious this guy is just told to agree with every decision the refs make, doubt we see anyone else get booked for kicking the ball away for the rest of the season now unless it’s an arsenal player because of the narrative the media has created.

  6. He used common sense in this clip, the way it should be.

Rice touched away a moving ball and thus couldn’t have been delaying a restart. Bernardo silva was rolling around on the floor so no one was ready to take a free kick when trossard kicked it away.

Unfortunately common sense doesn’t apply when dealing with booking Arsenal players for the same thing.

  7. At this point I just assume we’re playing against 12 men every game.

The corruption and anti arsenal rhetoric from the press is just standard now and while I find that infuriating, it’s not something I or anyone here can change.

Every time refs are called out they hide behind grass roots refs saying they shouldn’t get grief due to the effect it has on grass roots refs, they are cowards.

I love my team and my club but I’m not going to get angry every time it happens because it would seem that’s what they want, and I’m not going to give it to them.

  8. No Dermot we don’t want players carded for that but your bunch of cronies set the precedent by carding, and subsequently sending off, two of our player for that exact thing.

  9. Connect-Amoeba3618 on

It’s absolutely baffling how they can say this with a straight face. Of course it was the right decision to not book Ndidi
but you cant defend the Trossard and Rice decisions and support this one. Jesus Christ, I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

  10. His bs justification for this being that there was no one ready to take the kick. Trossard got sent of for kicking the ball away (within a second of the whistle being blown) whilst Bernardo was on the floor, they were not ready to take the kick either.

  11. So surely then, the same logic should be applied to what happened to Rice and Trossard! Fucking corrupt cunts

  12. He’s a fucking hypocrite. Changing his fucking tune, I’m sick of these shit ref. If he’d said this for Rice and Trossard fine but the double standard is so obvious now.
