Earn your place, message is clear and with the modern game demanding 70 odd games off the top clubs, above average squad players and large squad looks like the way to go, tight first XI might very well be the thing of the past.

You can see it from the moment he came in he’s laid down the law and stuck to his guns. He’s had to make some tough decisions, probably enforced by the board, but he’s been honest and forthcoming about his position and intentions.
His squad clear out this summer reminds me of Summer 2009 when Mourinho sold players like Zlatan, Crespo, Bonucci, Maxwell, Adriano (30 first team and youth players in total) – in part to reduce the squad size. He didn’t fear pissing anyone off. Won the CL that season.

I was 100% for poch being sacked. Originally wanted the Ipswich guy but Enzo was a close second. Iām glad we went with Enzo. I just like the guy and heās learned from the best coach in the world. Only thing I donāt like about the squad is Sanchez. I donāt know if Filip is ready but I am not looking forward to his passing from the back vs Liverpool.

Man the only exception to this is probably Hazard, who else is bad at training but a great performer
