[Arteta on his time at PSG] I was 18 years old, had not played any professional football and you look at those names. ‘Are they sure?’ “They protected me like a son. It was the perfect environment for me, to give me the chance, to see what I was capable of doing. It was an amazing experience.”

“I had to do all the defending because I had Ronaldinho and Okocha in front of me. Imagine!” he says. “It was super, almost unreal. It was a dream for me. I was so blessed and I had so much energy at that time. I couldn’t waste that opportunity — I enjoyed every minute of it.”
1 Former Arsenal Player, uncle to a future Arsenal player and future club captain and manager in one photo. Truly gargantuan. honestly, I do think after he wins everything with us, the only other club that he manages would be PSG.
I thought the top left was William Regal.
I guess it’s time to “son” them tonight, eh?
Man there was Anelka, a young Ronaldinho — kind of forgotten how PSG, even before the Qataris came, had attracted good players. I guess being the main club in a city like Paris had a lot to do with it.
Damn is that really Poch?
some of those names, damnn. good old time football vibes.
Back when PSG still had class
Two of these would end up at Bolton and give me nightmares.
Camera quality tho 😭
Arteta ‘Gabriel’ obsession started here. Signed three Gabriels, even named his son Gabriel.
I really dig this story because I feel like this experience had a major impact in making Arteta the manager he is currently.. Mikel trusts our squad & his staff, the vets and the yutes alike, like those giants of the game trusted him..
He trusts himself & I trust the fuck out of the guy..
There really seems to be a brotherhood, for lack of a better word, in our squad that I think is extremely rare in sports in general..
The belief is tangible in this team.. I mean Xhaka took a lil to-go bag of it with him to Germany and look what happened..
All that to say: I love this club..
