Think it’s almost unfair to call him a 10 in this role, he’s like a second striker in a 2 up top when we’re attacking their box and he’s running around all over the pitch plugging gaps otherwise.

Can’t deny the work rate

Great runner, poor passer, which is weird considering how technically good he is with his feet. Hopefully Slot fixes that up otherwise Curtis is gonna take his spot real soon.

I’m not sold on this fella at all

He gets a lot of criticism in possession but I often wonder if he’s is just knackered when he’s on the ball and the composure suffers
His off the ball work is brilliant however I do think playing centrally doesn’t suit him as much as out wide.
His first bank of games last year he was wider and then post Brighton away he’s much closer to the striker, this co incidentally is when his performance dropped (but he was also clearly worn out)

Everyone can see that he works hard but his passing and decision making leaves a lot to be desired so far. Kinda reminds me of Curtis when it looked like he didn’t have a future in the team and then suddenly his decision making was at another level.
Definitely the missing piece in this team for me because he’s getting nearly a golden chance a game which should either be a goal or an assist for him.

Can’t help but feel like we’re asking too much of him tbh. Don’t get me wrong, his on the ball work needs to improve especially final balls, but he’s constantly having to run all over the place and cover ground that surely it has an impact on his overall performance

I like him a lot but man. Sometimes I just watch him and think all he does is run around. Which is great but it just leaves you expecting something more

I don’t know why nobody thought of this except me:
Play Szobo as an 8 and Mac Allister as a 10.
Szobos physicality and work rate would be good further bck. Mac Allister is more creative and has better ball control, have him create.
