I’m happy for the lad, that’s for sure. But I feel like we screwed up. He’s so quick and had flashes of brilliance. Ever since he got COVID, he hasn’t been the same. But we never really game him a solid run of matches to prove himself either.
All I’m saying is with Brantwaite being injured for the first matches this season, I would’ve loved to see Ben Godfrey playing instead of Michael Keane…..

Look, I’m happy for him if it works out. But a few weeks ago his coach was saying that he might not play for them…at all. And we had how many years of giving him a few run outs and it did not work at all.
He could come good and it was right to let him go… Both can be true.

What even is this post? Congratulations for what? Ben Godfrey is properly crap. Some of the worst positional sense I’ve ever seen from a defender. He had countless opportunities at us and failed every single time. He had one year left on his deal and we got a fee for a player that wasn’t good enough for the Premier League.
