  1. All he had to do was just close the game out, and thankfully his nerves didn’t overcome him thanks to his experience in the Austrian league

  2. How early did he leave Czech exactly? Usually it needs to be well before the age of 12 to develop the accent. Anyway I saw him in preseason and was quite impressed tbh. Glad he’s on our team.

“I was just walking down the street outside when there was a commotion and Liverpool staff ran out, said the keeper is injured, I look like a bigger version of their backup so can I come play?”

  4. I like that they trust him to go out and do his job. No psyching him up which can backfire. Just, you’re up kid and off he goes all grown up.

Here’s an earlier interview – after his season in Ireland a few years back https://youtu.be/XrEfd7m5S6w An accent specialist could probably hear a little bit of Irish influence in his th sounds, but there’s definite Scouse there

I was already surprised by Dibu Martinez’s accent (who moved to England after 18 I believe but has spent 14 years of his life in England now) but I really didn’t expect to hear this
