I’m usually positive and there’s a part of me that admires Gary backing the players and Lemina saying the players are backing Gary, but there’s more of me that’s pissed off with them coming out after matches holding their hands up, albeit they’re being honest. They need to start taking some accountability on the pitch during matches because I’m fed up with us losing now. Individual performances have been shit and the system isn’t working and probably should’ve changed at Villa but either Gary was seeing something we weren’t or he was too determined to play his way. They’ve recognised it and it’s not too late to still have a good season but we seriously need actions from them now. Going forward I think we should play:
Johnstone; Semedo, Santi, Daws, Toti, RAN; Lemina, Andre; Forbs, Larsen, Cunha
Gotta keep it tight at the back otherwise we’re just not in games and have no chance of winning. I think Gary can probably still turn this round and we’ve got enough quality to be fine this season but as I said we need immediate accountability from Gary and the players during matches, probably starting with positive results against city and Brighton being a must. Got 2 weeks to sort this out with whoever’s not on international duties but then we need to actually start winning some fucking matches and stop holding their hands up after another loss
