>I was like no. We can’t lose at the Bridge against Tottenham. Tottenham, they can’t be champions.

I was fortunate to be there on the day in the Shed next to the Spurs fans, remember going to the toilet at the half thinking this is a total bloody nightmare we are going to lose to Spurs who are pressing Leicester for the title and worst than that I’m so close to the Spurs fans who are totally jubilant
I was behind the goal to the corner that ball Eden struck ended and honestly it’s the best moment I’ve experienced in that stadium
I was living in London that year so got to go to every home game bar one (Norwich due to prior arrangements) and it was miserable the games we just kept losing but that moment completely eradicated the painful preceding 7 months
Lost my voice for 4 days after due to that goal
Eden was getting the business of a certain selection of that fans, that one moment silenced the doubters and haters. In many ways that moment took him from a liked Chelsea player to a loved one and the remaining years at the club he was just THE man.
Will always love Eden, the best footballer I’ve been blessed with watching in a blue shirt.

Someone post this on the ‘Soccer’ sub. This is great.

Eden hasn’t put on 30kg post career yet which is surprising
God bless you, little wizard

So rare to have a player of generational quality who also cares this much about the history and respect of the club. I miss this legend!
