I'm wondering this as I've not seen anyone come into a new team and become immediately indispensable due to the fact that he took on an entirely different role as a lone pivot, a position that was a topic of debate as to who's most suitable to play the position. Maccas low center of gravity allows him to be able retain the ball against aggressive ball winners throughout the Premier league. Add that to his penchant for thundercunts and you have a player who has the best of both worlds, and actually displays it on the pitch. I do worry that his durability is often taken for granted.

  1. It really feels to me like when he doesn’t play or gets taken off we lose control of games

  2. He’s not entirely a complete player but I’m glad he plays for us as opposed to anyone else. I think he likely moves forward if we sign a proper six.

He is the most important player in our midfield but many people will disagree.

They don’t see what he offers. Anytime he has been taken off, there seems to be a total collapse of the midfield, just like the game vs Forest and recently at Palace.

Even when Klopp was the manager.
