Sabuncuoglu (Tier 0 source for Fenerbahçe): The news on Arda Güler potentially being loaned to Fenerbahçe are absolutely false. Arda and his family loves Madrid, and would love to stay at Madrid.Fenerbahçe will not transfer Arda nor Arda is interested in leaving Madrid for any other team.

People really thought we were going to send a player on loan when we are facing Injury crisis.

    He would make a good right-back. /s

Arda is getting fair game time and I have no doubts sooner or later he will find a proper place in the team, no reason for him to leave on loan

  3. Carlo is making him do so much defensive duties this season where most of the time he comes in as a midfielder his task is more to defend, intercept and recover than it is to play-make forward (unless we’re down or need to score then he usually comes forward/RW etc)

I believe this biggest reason he does that is to train him defensively, we (and carlo) all know hes good creating play, has a good forward ball, [hell he has the single highest expected assists in out of all players (U23) in the top 5 league this season despite only playing so little](https://x.com/theMadridZone/status/1842562105461101004) more than Palmer, and Neves for example.

But defensively he wasn’t that strong which is why Carlo makes him work so much on it, you can’t just be offensively good and have bad tracking/pressing when you’re a playmaker nowadays, especially if you have someone like Mbappe on the team who doesn’t press much himself (star player privileges etc etc) otherwise you’ll have troubles with recovering the ball, which is what we’ve seen earlier this season when Bellingham and Cama were injured, two of our best pressers, interceptors and ball-recovers – every time Arda started earlier this season we struggled hard with the ball because multiple players in the team struggle pressing.

So Carlo is making him work on that specifically to have him become more all-round, next season Modric and Ceballos are most likely retiring/leaving and someone will have to fill that, I don’t think he starts over the current midfielders but will be the type of player to sub in or start when we want to score, unless we start 4-4-2 more often.

He’ll also probably start way more once Copa matches start, the schedule is still rocky now because of interland games but eventually its going to be multiple games per week – no way Valverde or Bellingham are going to be playing every single one of those.

  4. Arda has no reasons to leave RM. I’m sure he will get more minutes. We have a really tough season with many injuries and some shitty matches. It’s hard for everyone, not only for Arda. He’s an amazing player and I really want to see him perform every week. I’m SURE he will get more minutes and also he will not leave Madrid. The kid knows he plays for the best club in the world.

  5. Leaving is in his best interest. He needs to play in a team where he has ample opportunity to show his talents.

  6. He just has the be patient. And it will be rewarded. He’s going to have a great career here, just can’t get distracted

He’s getting solid game time as well. 300 minutes after 1/6th of the season is extremely fair for a teenager at Real Madrid.
