really unique goal. we associate Palmer with clinical finishes in front of goal but rarely does he get into 1v1s with the keeper. beautiful (lucky?) roll past the keeper and then maybe one of the most composed flurries of feints and touches and an insanely casual right foot finish.
reminded me a bit of hazard’s fake shots/feints in the area to wrong foot the opposition before his actual shot but Palmer’s was on another level imo.
The top bin free kick v Brighton is one of the cleanest free kicks I’ve ever seen in the prem. I just watched his stance and said it’s a goal fs. Messi level fk

The 35 yard lob against Everton. There were plenty of of goals with great technique or vision, but the sheer confidence to go for that one is what makes this one stand out for me.
As for the goal that made me jump out of my seat, it was the winning goal against United. His positioning on that corner kick was genius and then the guts to just immediately send the shot on target instead of trying something more conservative. The shot hit two defenders on it’s way to the net.

Was in a Discord call with a mate (Arsenal fan) and his stream was slightly ahead of mine and he let out a massive gasp and “OH MY GOD”, my first thought was that we conceded and lost the match but then saw that we had a corner and I figured we got the winner but I was still not prepared for the emotions and jumping about after Palmer took the shot!

First goal in our thrashing of Everton. Happened right in front of where I was sitting in MHL and brought me back to being 15 seeing Hazard at the bridge just pulling stuff off that most players wouldn’t think to do in training.
