He was good and obviously talented, his passing was brilliant, but he was too slow and his style too deep-lying to make a career with the squad Hearts had at the time. Hearts bumping him for free was bizarre considering he was someone the club could have sold for some money at least (classic Hearts). I was told by a member of his family he didn’t want to stay in Scotland because too many games the ball was just going over his head which is fair enough tbh.
