Not exactly a new kit but suddenly the AIA started to peel off in the wash. Anyone else had this problem? Should I glue it or iron it or what?

  1. If it was fully off that would be good too but I’m just stuck with half an A and an A. Should I just rip it off or what? Rock one giant A lke I’m the assistant captain of the hockey team?

  2. It’s an improvement.

For all the good he’s done Tottenham as a business, Levy choosing a kit sponsor that’s red is maddening.

South East Asia completely melted the AIA off my 18/19 home kit.

There is a kind of ghost image of it if you look really closely but no color or texture difference of any kind.

I think it’s actually my favorite kit now.

Have the same kit and the Romero came off the back…maybe bc the fabric is ribbed?

  5. Could try using fabric glue?

Also for future reference, make sure to not use the dryer and to use only warm or colder water when washing kits. The heat is what makes the prints come off.

Same thing happened to me. I just tore the rest off and rolled with it. I was surprised though by how shitty the quality of the shirt was, given that this happened after just a few washes.

  7. It’s a heat transfer so your best bet is to replace. If you really want to you can peel off the remaining, wash off residue, and then print out the sponsor on heat transfer get a press and reapply. Big project but it can turn into a rewarding hobby.

  8. For anyone who sees this, you should never put a jersey/kit in the dryer. Wash inside out and hang/air dry every time.

  9. I’ve always wondered why can’t we have AIA logo in blue on the home kit? They allow that in the away and 3rd kits, so what’s the difference?

Idk how to fix it, and not sure if you’ve done this specifically, but for everyone in the thread YSK that kits should be washed on cold, then air dried. Washing or drying with heat is usually what causes peeling like this

  11. Grease proof paper and an iron. It’ll warm the glue back up and reattach them. Same as last year’s kit. 🤨
