  1. I hope they phase him in over the next year, like they are doing with the other former injured folk. (Edited for spelling)

  2. of all the times to have him back this is a good one with the run of hard games coming, even just having him off the bench

  3. Welcome back Fridge, please stay healthy, you could be the missing piece, some extra physical presence in the back 4, as well as that right hand side potential, wow. Malo is young and improving, but Reece’s killer instinct in the final third, we would have scored alot more already!

Hope he can play 10 minutes to keep us winning 3-1 at Anfield on the weekend, 0 minutes in Greece, then 30 minutes vs Newcastle, 0 mins in league cup, 60 minutes vs yanited into see where he is for a full 90 and a match winner vs Arsenal!

  4. Reece James on as a sub in the 60th minute with Gusto starting for the rest of the season. I have hope đŸ™đŸŒ

  5. I hope he gets used in a John Obi Mikel type role, where he comes in late to secure a result, until he’s truly fully fit.

Still got faith in Reece and am desperate for him to get a run of games fully fit.

Cracks me up that him back in training is breaking news on sky sports though! Hahaha

  7. This was coming when the last game it was Gusto stepping into midfield and not Cucu, even though Cucu is better at doing so IMO. I have a feeling we might be slightly unbalanced with Reece and Noni on the right if they are both a bit too attack minded. I have faith in Maresca to address it though from what i’ve seen so far.

The legend has it that if James, Fofana, Lavia and Nkunku are ever on the pitch at the same time, a true new Drogba will be born

  9. I’m actually cautiously optimistic…

Maresca has already shown he’s not afraid to rotate players, and we have Malo to help carry the load there now. So, hopefully he gets eased in gently and gets to get back to full fitness without over doing things…

  10. Should say James has “temporarily returned to full team training.”

I love Reece but it just doesn’t feel like it’s going to happen here. He could probably use a fresh start, and we need a player that can be counted on week in and week out.

  11. I’ll never not be delighted he’s back in the squad. He’s a genuinely world class player produced at Cobham. As far as I’m concerned, every time he’s fit again it’s the end of all the injury worries and there won’t be any other problems.

I’ll be happy to watch him for 20 minutes until he’s out again for another 3 months

  13. Happy to hear this. Still need a RB in January unless Josh steps up and becomes a reliable backup for conference league

  14. All those injuries affected his development so much hopefully that’s all behind him because if we can keep him fit we could actually challenge for the title

Aaaaaaaand he’s injured. On his day, he’s just incredible. His day is just a rarity.

  16. At this point I’m happy even if all we get is a james appearance in the last 20 minutes of the game

  17. He’s the best player in the world in his position. Even if he plays 20 games a season he’s worth having.
