Would be a good appointment for them. Very good at tournament football. Will eventually fall out with the FA no doubt but I’m sure they’ll take a blowout in 4 or 5 years if it means getting over the line.

Really interested to see this because Tuchel seems like a good fit. He’s can manage a dressing room of stars and tactically he’s up there with the best.

  3. If he can win Champions league with that 2021 Chelsea squad. He can win the euros with the current England squad. This would be good.

Said from the start TT or Pep are the obvious candidates. If I hear “Graham Potter is a decent option” one more time I think I’ll cry.

  4. That’s a perfect hire for him honestly. He’s a brilliant tournament manager, things seem to go wrong for him in long campaigns. Plus he loves English football and knows the players. My only concern is that he’s a pretty stubborn guy, which may clash with the flexibility a national team job requires.

  5. Please.

I saw what he did with my team, I want to see him do it with my country!

Tuchel and Palmer lifting the trophy together would be an absolute dream!

  6. Been telling a good mate of mine who adored Southgate that we should get Tommy Tactics. He said he’s too good and would never take the job etc. and we should be grateful for Southgate.

Part 1 is starting to sound more promising (at least more than no links to him at all), and for part 2 he just needs to win us a tournament. If he manages that (obviously still a big ask but we know what he’s capable of) then my mate will never hear the end of it. Cmon Tommy. Come home.

If a manager the calibre of Tuchel is willing to lower himself to the England job you don’t question it or have talks.

The FA should him what he wants and sign the contract before he sobers up and they end up with Dull Graham.
