A dramatic injury time header from John Stones saw City secure a thrilling 2-1 win at Wolves as Pep Guardiola’s side went top of the table and set a new Premier League club landmark.

The hosts had taken an early lead at Molineux thanks to a fifth minute strike from Jorgen Strand Larsen.

But City – who dominated territory and possession in the Black Country – hit back to level thanks to a stunning 32nd minute 20-yard effort from Josko Gvardiol.

Pep Guardiola’s side were also denied by a series of superb saves by Wolves keeper Jose Sa.

  2. That stoppage time scramble by John Stones. Then the appeal for VAR. The seemingly endless wait for the verdict. Then : Goal allowed! We really are the best in all the land and the world! City till I die.

  3. Please learn how to not concede early goals. You have conceded so many early goals that will diminish your confidence and motivation to win. Fans don't like that too…

  4. To be honest there is no interference at all and he wasn't even in the trajectory of the ball that would confuse the defenders thinking he was off-side. Great decision by the referee. WOLVES seems to play only to beat CITY. When it comes to CITY, WOLVES plays wonderfully. We were lucky to take all 3 points, but PEP continues to fail on defending. We do concede too easy goals.

  5. Do we want to close our eyes ? Today our game was not special, without KDB and Rodri we are not the same team.

After 8 PL games, our winger Doku, Grealish, Savinho, and Silva, and Foden when play on right side have scored only 1 goal (Doku vs Fulham).

We desperately need a proper winger like Muhoammed Kudus, with our winger we have no chance.

Can someone tell me how many goals we can expect from our winger ?

  6. The way we conceded that WOLVE'S goal was chocking. We were in numbers at the back, LEWIS moved slowly to cover the right back, DIAS moved to place the attacker in off-side position while GUARDIAOL placed the attacker in line. This is not acceptable. Should we defend this way vs LIVERPOL, SPURS and MANUTD, we will be severely punished like 5-0.
